Hello Again

In such a short space of time, I'm saying hello again. Don't think I've been uber busy crafting because you'd be wrong. This was a little project I started a few months back. I managed to put the finishing touches to it last week. I have themed it on "Scribe" so we have background papers and stamps from PaperArtsy, Stazon ink on the bottle, small glass bottle, wooden cotton bobbins, Tim Holtz idea-ology curio knobs, TH idea-ology pen nibs and various TH distress inks.

Hello Blogland

Hello to all you lovely bloggers out there, it's been ages since I have done anything art or craft related. Hope you've all had a lovely summer. I had a mixture of good ,bad and sad. My dear old mum died back in July, she was the best. I know that no-one lives forever but you kind of think you're mum is always going to be around, don't you? I suppose she will be in a sense, she will always live on in our hearts.
I finally found some inspiration this week and did a bit of art journaling. I coloured the background with acrylics, glimmer mist and ecoline inks. It all looked very Christmassy and sparkly so I decided it would make a lovely Christmas page. Once I added the fabulous Stampotique figures to it, it reminded me of an "Office Party", hence the title!
The little guy holding the mistletoe represents the short, grumpy bald headed boss, trying to get a kiss from the girls..........no offence to short, grumpy, bald headed bosses out there, I'm sure you're all lovely really.
I've got a couple of back-grounds ready to do some more pages so hopefully it won't be so long before my next posting :)

The pages look better side by side but it wouldn't let me do that for some reason.

My Art Journal

I'm slowly gaining confidence and now beginning to put words to paper. They are mainly quotes I've found and added to my page. I started this one a few weeks back but couldn't decide what to do with it until tonight.I'm not sure if it's finished yet, I might add to it later on.......who knows!

Happy Jubilee Day Everyone!

The weather hasn't been the best but it has been BRITISH....lol! What a great Jubilee weekend it's been, pageants, concerts and today the British public showing their support for the Queen after 60 glorious years on the throne. For me, I've spent today crafting, I've using my Octopode Factory stamps and I'm entering this into the  Octopode Factory Friday Challenge, I haven't entered into any blog challenges for a while but this one caught my eye as this weeks challenge is Black and White. I've used 4 stamps from the Octopode Factory, Black and London Fog Memento Inks, copic pens and Promarkers.

Well..........it's been a while

Over a month in fact, since I last blogged, I haven't had room to craft for about a month now. Things are slowly getting back to normal and I've managed to find a small space in my so called craft room to get a few journal pages done. I've not been able to do any since I went on a one day workshop at the Craft Barn in April, taught by the very talented Neil Walker. If you get the chance to go to one of Neil's classes you'll love it. These are the pages I've done so far. They're not all finished yet and some don't even have any journalling on them, that's the part I find most difficult. I'm just waiting for that moment of inspiration to hit me!!!!

I did these two pages at the workshop.

This is one I'm working on at the moment.

These are more or less finished but need more journalling on them. I'm totally at a loss with the journalling bit.

You should see me without the gear on......

Or maybe not!!!!! I love the Octopode Factory stamps, thank you Lily. This one is the "Trick or Treat Ghost", now I know it's not Halloween but ghosts don't just come out at Halloween you know? I've named him (yes I know HE has a handbag, but that's for his treats!) Walter. Without his gear on? I'll leave that to your imagination.

The Phantom of the Opera

Well, this is my second blog this month (in a week actually) I've got an unexpected day off work so I thought I'd spend most of it crafting. I've just treated myself to some Octopode Factory stamps, this one is "Lady Audrey" and she's coloured with Copics and Prismacolor Pencils.

April's Post....

I was hoping to blog at least once a month, this year but March has just slipped through the net, where did it go? Anyway, April's post (it's probably the only one I will post this month, hence the name) is ATC's. I've managed to get a few done today, two of them are for a swap, the others are up for grabs. All except one (Let's Get Our Heads Together) are hand drawn with fine liner pen and copics.

Blue Eyes
Whimsical Girl

These two are for a swap on Docrafts.
The four below are all available for swapping.

Fantasy Tree

Happy Valentines.......

I made my first exploding box today. It's for a lovely young guy at work to give to his girlfriend on Valentines Day. It's filled with hand-made chocolates too.
I used cream coloured card to make the box then decorated it with scraps of paper and card. To finish it off I used some Tim Holtz paper which I embossed through my Cuttlebug then sanded it down to highlight the lettering.

It's a Winter Wonderland Outside!

The snow is falling all over Britain right now, it looks so pretty outside. Best place to be is nice and warm at home crafting and that's exactly what I'm doing right now..........with a glass of red wine to help my creative thoughts flow....lol!
Speaking of Winter Wonderland, the challenge this week over at Winter Wonderland Challenge Blog is Blue and White, perfect for this weather with all the snow and frost about.
I'm entering this card that I've made for a special little girl, into the challenge this week.
They also have a great prize sponsored by Crafter's Companion for the winner, pop over and take a look at the fabulous cards made by the DT.

Found a bit of time to craft.....

Got home from work early today, that's one good thing when I'm working in London, I have a bit of time to myself in the evenings. I used my time today to make some more Christmas cards and my February Fat Page - Love, for Cazro's swap.
I used "O Joy" from Stampotique for my Christmas cards and for my Fat Page, I used the freebie stamp from Craft Stamper (February issue) and two stamps from an Andy Skinner set.
I must start joining in more challenges this year, I need something to push me more on my blog.

Tatty Button Card

Well, it seems I'm like a bus, nothing for ages then three posts together....lol! Although one was only a photograph. I've spent the afternoon and evening card making, something that I normally struggle with and I'm never very happy with the end results, but today I seemed to flow and I'm fairly happy with the results of my work.
I'm going to enter this last card into the TIOT challenge this week which is "Do you believe in fairies?"
I do......

Merry Kiss-Mas!

Don't worry, I know it's only January, but with the speed that last year went, I'm determined to get some Christmas cards done for this year. This is the second design I have chosen to do, inspired by a beautiful card I saw at The Craft Barn.
The stamp I have used is "Holly" from Gorjuss Girls, coloured with Copics and Prismas. The backing papers are from Crafty Creations.
The "Merry Kiss-mas" stamp is from Stampotique.

Winter Sunshine?

I took this picture up in Harrogate between Christmas and New Year, it was a cold wet day but the sun tried to make an appearance. Not much in the way of sunshine but I love the spookiness of the picture.

A Very Belated Happy New Year.....

Wow! Christmas came and went so fast, it's now the middle of January and I've finally found time to craft. I've gone from one extreme to the other, last year I made only 1 Christmas card, yes, that's right....1
So this year I have started early and managed to get 6 made today and another 6 half done. This is the design of the first 6.
I'll upload the other design when they are finished. I also managed to get my January Fat Page done for Cazro's swap, the theme is Winter Wonderland. The Snowman is the front, the trees are the back.
It's good to be back in Blogland.......
